Now Recruiting First-Year Umpires for the 2026 Season
The London West Tincaps and Oakridge Optimist Baseball Association are pleased to announce that we are now recruiting first-year umpires for the upcoming 2026 baseball season.

Umpiring is a great opportunity for youth and young adults to stay involved in the game, develop leadership and decision-making skills, build confidence, and earn income, all while giving back to the local baseball community. While many of our umpires are also current or former players, playing experience is not required.

We are currently looking to add 10 new first-year umpires. No prior umpiring experience is necessary. Training and ongoing support will be provided to help new umpires feel confident and successful on the field.

Who Can Apply

  • 12 years of age or older

  • Interest in baseball and learning the rules of the game

  • A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a supportive officiating team
