Opening Day!
The 2018 London West Tincaps Major Peewee Team has scheduled their regular season games.
The opening day opponent on Monday May 7th will be.....
the London Badgers 12u team. It will be a solid test for the Tincaps, opening the season on the road in the hostile confines of Stronach #3. But the Tincaps should be comfortable there, as it's the same location where they reeled off 5 consecutive wins in walking away with the 2017 'A' OBA Provincial Championship last September.
They will follow up that game on Saturday May 12th vs the up-and-coming Ingersoll Ironbirds. Game time is 10:30AM @ Victoria Park. The Ironbirds are a relative unknown to the Tincaps 13u team, so the boys will need to bring a solid effort to ensure they hang tough with this upstart team.
The Tincaps third game of the season will be on Tuesday May 15th vs another newcomer, the Exeter Express. The Express will host the Tincaps @ 6:00PM at the Wagner Field. The Express are another new entry to league play for 2018, and the Tincaps can't under-estimate this well-coached team.
Our boys will finally return home on Wednesday May 16th for their home opener vs a more well-known opponent, the St Thomas Cardinals. The Cardinals always seem to bring their best effort when they play the Tincaps, so it should prove to be a challenging contest. Game time is 6:00PM @ West Lions.
