The Tincaps 13u team opened their quest to defend their OBA Championship from 2017 by participating in an outdoor paintball game @ Flagswipe on Saturday May 5th.
The boys had a 'blast' going after a couple of their coaches and fellow teammates on a gorgeous day outdoors. The various games included 'capture the flag', and 'attack and defend'. Coach Bennett secretly upgraded his weapon and was able to stealthily hide behind a large abandoned army truck while picking off unsuspecting 13 year olds as they ran by. Otherwise known as 'camping', this form of play is generally frowned upon in the gaming world, but when you are many years more experienced, and a much 'larger' target that moves a little slower than your opposition, it can be excused!
Once all the ammo was expended and the players sporting a lot of sweat (not to mention a few welts), pizza and drinks were a great way to cap off the day. It brought the group together, and it should springboard the team into a great season of baseball in their Major Peewee year.
The boys can't wait to hit the diamond!
